Leading Causes of Deaths in the United States

Around 74% of all deaths in the United States occur as a result of 10 causes. Over the past 5 years, the main causes of death in the U.S. have remained fairly consistent.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were 2,813,503 registered deaths in the United States in 2017.

The age-adjusted death rate, which accounts for the aging population, is 731.9 deaths per 100,000 people in the U.S.

Covid-19 Deaths in the U.S. through June 30, 2020, as reported, is under 130,000.

The CDC, on their own web page, https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/vaccineeffect.htm claims that the vaccine for flu (likely nearest relative to Coronavirus) is between 40% to 60% effective.

Perspective on the above: We are likely not nearly as bad off as indicated by the reporting from the main stream media. If you feel that what seems to be rolling out resulting from this crisis is troubling, then please spend some time thinking about it and discussing it with as many others as possible.
