  • Has previously served on the Wilmont Township Board of Review
  • Lives in Wolverine (Wilmot Township) and has been a resident of Cheboygan county for fifteen years

Jeanene Heidenreich Cooper Jeanene Cooper is a Michigan native who graduated from the University of Michigan before moving to Cheboygan with her husband Kelly, an insurance agent at BKC. She has two adult sons, Raleigh & Cameron, who are completing their college degrees and pursuing their new careers. Jeanene was a Cheboygan school teacher for over twenty years, educating students in English and speech at the high school and then middle school. She left education a few yea ago to pursue a new career as a novelist, publishing her first book "If I Should Never Wake" in 2008 and her second "Remnants of the Fire" in 2011. She also works as an independent contractor in social media, counsels graduating students in college and career planning, volunteers at Cheboygan's McLaren Hospital, and gladly devotes her time and talents to conservative causes.
